Latest Exhibition
This series of works explores the idea of equal rights for all Earthlings.
Humans are the newborns in the evolutionary lineage of Earth. Thus, we have the most to learn from all earthlings that evolved before us. Many humans that live on Earth at this moment, like their predecessors, listen to earth and her other earthlings and learn from them. These humans can accept and celebrate Earth’s limits instead of trying to break away from them. The majority of humans currently live in a system that thrives off extracting from Earth. This breach has caused an imbalance in the life force of Earth. Humans are making progress at the expense of every other earthling that also calls Earth home. We forget the impact we have on our fellow earthlings. The rights we bestow on ourselves as humans must also be the rights of all earthlings. Remember that we are connected to Earth. All earthlings love to live.
Surrealism
I enjoy bringing the imagination to life and stretching it beyond its boundaries. My flavor of surrealism blends in some magical realism and a dash of fantasy. Various organic forms give my work texture and deeper levels of meaning. My inspiration includes dreams, song lyrics, other famous surrealists, and literature. All the work you see on my site is made without the assistance of artificial intelligence. I do enjoy using digital platforms in different stages of my work, but in general I use traditional media including watercolor, acrylic, and pencil.
Representational
The natural world has some much to offer the appreciative eye. With limitless levels of detail, light, and color, nature is the ultimate artist. Most of the time I use photographs and sketches as a way to reference nature for my other work, but sometimes I am inspired to paint it as I see it. All of the work included here is hand painted.
Branding and Logos
I have had the opportunity to create branding and marketing materials for clients over the years. I enjoy working together with an individual or organization to create the right combination of text and imagery to promote and communicate their vision to the world. From logos to promotional materials, I make sure to get it right.
Illustration
My illustration clients have included musical artists, publishers, and individuals. I have a talent for creating exactly what my client has in their imagination. From whimsical to dark, realistic to cartoony, I can work with any client. My adaptable artistic style allows me to move seamlessly between different mediums and aesthetic approaches, whether it's creating ethereal watercolor pieces, bold digital designs, or meticulously detailed pen work. I have the ability to interpret briefs precisely while adding creative flourishes that elevate the final piece. With a keen eye for composition and color theory, I ensure each illustration not only meets but exceeds client expectations, delivering artwork that captures the perfect mood and message for each project.
Social / Political
With so much polarization, environmental degradation, and inequality in our world, I create images that challenge our collective complacency. My work balances between reacting to immediate issues and responding thoughtfully to deeper patterns. I aim to engage viewers in ways that open dialogue rather than shut it down. Drawing inspiration from other socially-engaged artists, I push myself to take creative risks and address challenging subjects, while remaining mindful of how my work impacts its audience. Through this approach, I hope to contribute meaningfully to conversations about the critical issues of our time.
